LOVE LOVE LOVE: Chassagne Montrachet 2008, Premier Cru “Morgeot”

Ridiculously delicious. This was a true experience for me – having a whole bottle of 1er Cru Burgundy in my hands…I shared it with good friends over Easter and throughout the whole bottle couldn’t stop talking about how amazing it was. It is hard to describe without feeling like you are ‘putting it on’ but it was, basically, the very best parts of a delicious Chardonnay from Burgundy – elegance, soft yet pronounced flavours and layers of silky oak. I didn’t want it to end…

I’m heading off to Burgundy in October to see two of my friends get married so will definitely be attempting to see where this wine was made. Absolutely stunning!
